Now, no hassling Petrilude, I'm one of his biggest fans and will hear none of it 

Following on from the shaven or unshaven thread. This is the shaving vid I found. Good stuff. I learn't alot!

Thank you for posting that, he was ummm, ahhh, hilarious.

He's also mostly correct in what he says but I have to disagree about his only shave each area only once and only shave in the direction of the hair.

There are whole forums talking about shaving and for the first couple of passes you shave in the direction of the hair, after that you start to go sideways and even against the direction of the hair.

Also, despite what he says it is possible for a blade to be too sharp.  I've got some "feather" razor blades and I swear they are made from Samurai swords, they are insanely sharp and I don't dare use them (I've tried a couple).

Now it's time for me to have a shave.....

2 layers of skin every swipe!

Though, he didn't say don't do one spot more than once, just make sure you put more shaving cream on for second and subsequents...

Too true, cream is very important, so is water....

Those who are using the fancy razors with 5 blades are losing 10 layers of skin per pass.

Old fogies like me only lose 2 layers per pass
