Similar thoughts. It can be used effectively as part of a WG's marketing but personally I find the whole Twitter fad just another symptom of people living their life via the internet rather than the real world.

nzescortsblog, I can deal with some of the individual/informational messages but when an entire website is blasted out it gets tedious (hence I don't use it)
The idea being to give those who choose to follow your tweets a brief update regarding what you're doing etc. in messages of no more than 140 characters and to stay connected with people no matter where you or they are. Only really effective for those who remain permanently connected to the internet including using smart phones when they can force themselves to walk away from their keyboard. Some seem to want to dump their entire life on Twitter
